that piano sample is too good, I don't know if you tampered with it any, but it sounds sooo eerie and beautiful. Drums go perfect with it

those drums are really really impressive, you gotta tell me how you did that shit!!! Great samples, only thing I can say about it is that maybe some more melodic content would fit in this tune, maybe a really fine synth lead although that's hard to do.
By the way, since Omegaphantom has been hosting that contest the NG hip hop scene seems to be improving!
I'd be pretty terrified if I had to battle you hahaha

You most likely would have to since we're the only two who doesn't have anyone to face though. And plus, this drum loop is one of the many that Omega sent me. All it took was raising the bass and mid shelf of the break through a equalizer, than compressing a few parts down with some of FL presets for their Multiband Compression VST effect. And honestly, most of the improvement has been in the Oldskool section. I'm glad to see more people posting everyday.

You could do something to the drums to make them slightly more muddy or something, make them fit in better, maybe fit in some old dusty breakbeat over it
what I'm trying to say is that it's sounding pretty dry how it is now, could use some effective processing (the drums)

thanks for the review...yeah i know what you mean about the drums, i have a hard time making them fit right with a song. i usually lay down the bass, snare, hi hat, etc and just sort of equalize it to give it more kick but that's as far as it goes. it's pretty basic, i'd like to be able to do more with em, like how you did the drums in the beginning of 'green shadows', tight
